Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Students learn about the applications of Psychoanalytic Education in different educational fields of practice like counselling, preschool education, school or social pedagogy. Psychoanalytic-educational approaches can be realized in specific settings like Psychoanalytic Education Counseling or as a general pedagogical attitude in educational work in social pedagogy, preschool education or teaching.

Historical and contemporary concepts of Psychoanalytic Education will be discussed in regard to their practical realization and compared to other contemporary approaches like trauma pedagogy.

This overview will also raise the question how the difference between educational work and other forms of psychosocial and psychotherapeutic practice can be described.

Assessment and permitted materials

written test (digital) at the end of the course

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

For a positive grade a result of more than 50% of the total points in the test is required.

Examination topics

The test comprises the content of the lectures as well as mandatory literature.
