Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
This lecture cycle will acquaint students in the MA with a wide variety of ways in researchers in the social sciences and the humanities have approached the study of education. Students will become acquainted with crucial questions that have pre-occupied researchers during key periods of the development of the study of education, and approaches to answering these questions. The lecture cycle will likewise look ahead to current challenges and ask what fields of research might provide scholars with the necessary tools to move forward.

A multiple choice test will take place at the end of the lecture cycle.

Examination topics
Students will be evaluated on the basis of the texts provided via Moodle each week. The lectures itself will discuss crucial aspects of these texts.
