The lecture will be offered hybrid. In the case of online participation, please ensure that you can attend from a location where the use of camera and microphone is possible. Please come to the lecture hall if you do not wish to use the camera and microphone. The use of wired headphones is recommended. This avoids technical problems caused by the simultaneous use of radio links (WLAN and Bluetooth). Aims, contents and method of the course

The aim of the course is to offer occasions for reflection on the relation between theory and practice.
As occasions for reflection, problems are presented and theoretically analysed in teaching practice. The problems dealt with are love and hate, sovereignty and totality, solidarity and competition, understanding and resistance, and freedom and power.
The lecture will be held in a flipped classroom format: The reading of texts and the reception of recorded lectures will be integrated into the attendance phases through discussions.

Assessment and permitted materials

The assessment is carried out through bonus points that can be earned during the semester and an online examination with single-choice questions. It is possible to achieve a very good through the online examination alone. You are invited to take the exam at the end of the winter term, at the beginning of the summer term, towards the middle of the summer term or at the end of the summer term. In addition, bonus points can be earned by completing assignments set weekly during the winter semester. The bonuses are distributed at the time of the exam, i.e. added to the exam result. Up to 40% of the maximum achievable points can be earned through the bonus points. A negative exam result can be compensated by bonus points.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

11 points are required for a positive assessment of the course.

2 (good) 23-26 points
3 (satisfactory) 19-22 points
4 (sufficient) 15-18 points
5 (not sufficient) 0-14 points
