Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Recent research and central theoretical perspectives on the professions, professionalism and professionalisation will be analysed and discussed. The focus will be on education and pedagogical professions. Typical further spheres of action (e.g. the medical profession, consulting) will be also looked at from the point of view of their tasks, the way how the profession is learned and how the theory-practice space is dealt with.
Assessment and permitted materials
Assessment on the basis of a seminar paper and its quality according to the standards of good scientific practice; qualified cooperation of the student in the face-to-face meetings; presentation and discussion of the seminar paper in class.
