Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The seminar gives an overview of international comparative research on schooling, with a special focus on international achievement assessment models such as PISA, PIRLS and TIMSS. Based on extensive experience, we will discuss questions such as the validity and reliability of comparative research, the role and impact of context factors such as culture or social background, as well as questions of how to design responsible comparative research.
The seminar will be held in English.
