Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The students will learn the basics of the participatory method of collective memory work according to Frigga Haug and its current reception in educational science and will practice the method in the seminar using the example of a jointly selected research topic. They will learn which research questions can be answered with the method, how the participatory research process of collective memory work proceeds and how concrete analysis steps are realized.
Assessment and permitted materials
Reading and participation in the seminar is required. In the seminar, students will work together to find a research question on a topic, write their own memoirs, and evaluate them collectively. In part, there will also be homework exercises for this. The method will be carried out together in the seminar, discussed and finally submitted in written form as a seminar paper.
