Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The course shall give an introduction to theoretical approaches and empirical observations dealing with the topic. The focus is not so much on the plight of the refugees themselves, but rater on the social and educational construction of the response to them. As there are no systematic sources available for some of the subtopics, above average commitment of the participants is expected.

Assessment and permitted materials

You are expected to participate continuously, to read the course literature, to prepare a paper presentation in a team, to submit a term paper (max. 10 pages).
Paper presentations have to be uploaded on moodle a week in advance. The term paper has to be submitted by Feb 15th 2015.
The grading is based on all the above mentioned expectations. It will happen in any case if you did not cancel your participation on Moodle and Univis by Oct 31st at the latest.
