On 13 December 2022, the information event for mentors will take place at the Institute of Educational Science in seminar room 3. All interested Master's students of educational sciences are cordially invited to attend.
The event will be held in German. If you prefer English, please let us know in the email and we will organize a separate meeting and exchange date for you.
What will you learn about at the kick-off?
• Why mentoring can be equal support in dealing with challenges in the Master's degree phase.
• What skills and know-how the mentors can impart to you in this project
• How you as a mentee can actively approach topics and problems and find motivation for writing
• Why mentoring will broaden your horizons in terms of networks, knowledge and skills, and help you discover new opportunities.
You will also have the opportunity to get to know each other and the project team will be available to answer your questions.

Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The accompanying seminar is particularly aimed at students who have been working on their MA thesis for some time or who have interrupted their completion. It is embedded in a project of the Active Studying program, in which mentors support the students in completing their theses. In terms of content, it is also about the presentation and discussion of the status of the MA project
Discussion of current texts from the field of educational philosophy that are relevant to the work.

Assessment and permitted materials

Attendance and continuous participation are prerequisites for the assessment.
A research diary is the written basis of the assessment. The first submission takes place towards the middle of the semester, the second towards the end. The assessment is supplemented by an oral final discussion. One third of each of the three performance components is included in the evaluation.

Examination topics

Active participation is a prerequisite for a positive conclusion.
The exam content consists of the presentation of your own work project and the research diary to be created.
