At the center of this seminar are practical and text-related exercises on the methodology of discourse analysis in accordance with the requirements of the curriculum for the Bachelor's degree in Educational Science (Version 2018). The analog (scriptural) and digital (technological) media skills of Close Reading and Distant Reading are explained theoretically and practiced using (smaller) texts. In addition to the discussion of these two approaches of the discourse analytical method, the latter is discussed in particular in relation to hermeneutics, grounded theory and mixed methods.
