Aims, contents and method of the course
The course will deal with (inter-)national developments in education research and the how these developments influence the conception of schooling and education research. "Accountability movement", "school autonomy", "homogenization and individualiszation" as well as "quality monitoring" will be central issues.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The aims of the course are to gain an insight into international developments, to evaluate the consequences of the use of international assesssment data like PISA and (not intended) side effects.
