Aims, contents and method of the course
Assessment and permitted materials
Student performance will be evaluated by means of assessing student participation and assignments:
Assignment 1: Reflective Biography (max. 2 pages)
Assignment 2: Presentation of group study
Assignment 3: Planning a short sequence of lessons or an essay with a global education approach (end-of-course assignment) in English or German.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The objective of the course is for the students to obtain a comprehensive picture of various pedagogical approaches characterized by the global perspective, to become acquainted with related teaching methods, materials and media and to gain insight into issues revolving around the practice of global education in the classroom.
Examination topics
" Course readings as the basis of group discussions
" Presentations of student study groups
" Examining, presenting and performing a sample of global education activities, games and exercises
" Excursion (2 hrs) to BAOBAB Library
