Aufgrund der verringerten Raumkapazität im Zuge der COVID-Regelungen wird die Lehrveranstaltung im Hybrid-Format durchgeführt; d.h. es wird für jeweils ca. die Hälfte der StEOP-Studierenden die Möglichkeit geben, Vorlesungseinheiten vor Ort zu besuchen oder Vorlesungsaufzeichnungen über den Moodlekurs anzusehen (sodass jede*r in Summe die Möglichkeit hat, bei der Hälfte der StEOP-Einheiten auch vor Ort teilnehmen zu können, wenn sie bzw. er das möchte). Unter „Anmerkungen zu den Terminen“ finden Sie die Aufteilung, zu welchen Terminen Sie im Hörsaal anwesend sein können.

Aims, contents and method of the course
Assessment and permitted materials
- Written examination (multiple choice)No aids are allowed.
The module exam is expected to be an on-site exam (with 30 questions). However, if there are any restrictive measures due to the COVID pandemic, the exam may also be changed to an online format at short notice. More detailed information on this will be provided in a timely manner via Moodle and via e-mail, if necessary.
There will be four exam dates on the StEOP lectures presented in WS 2020/2021 (A1 or A2 respectively), which will be announced in time in the Moodle course and on the SSC homepage (under exam dates).
This lecture will be examined in the written module exam (multiple choice) of the StEOP module A1, which includes the following courses in total:
- VO StEOP: Introduction to Scientific Thinking.
- VO StEOP: Paradigm History and Parameters of Psychology

Examination topics
Prüfungsrelevant sind Vortragsinhalte und sämtliche Vorlesungsunterlagen (Vortragsfolien, Skriptum, Begleittexte). Die Begleittexte werden mit Zeitpunkt der jeweiligen Einheiten im Moodlekurs bereitgestellt. Das aktuelle Skriptum wird Anfang Dezember zum Download im Moodlekurs sowie als Printversion zum Selbstkostenpreis bei Facultas im NIG zur Verfügung stehen.

This StEOP lecture series teaches general approaches of psychological research for analyzing and testing empirical facts, as well as how to critically examine them.Methods:
Selected research fields and topics will be presented by various lecturers from the Faculty of Psychology. Lecture slides and selected literature will be provided to accompany the units.The detailed VO program will be presented at the beginning of the semester and will be accessible via the Moodle teaching platform.
