Aims, contents and method of the course
The seminar consists of two parts:Part A consists of an introduction to essential topics of experimental research, such as literature search, scientific reading and writing, and basic research methods.Part B consists of student presentations and subsequent discussions on current research topics in the fields of perceptual and cognitive psychology.
Assessment and permitted materials
- Active participation- Oral presentation (group)- Preparation of i.e. a discussion or a small experiment etc. (group)- Term paper (individual)- Participation in experiments
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
- Training of basic academic skills, such as searching for literature, making citations, designing experiments etc.- To train the ability to critically assess research articles- The integration of theoretical knowledge with practical academic skills- To provide an overview of current topics in the fields of perceptual and cognitive psychology
