Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The lecture adresses the diversity approach in a psychological context and current research results. Specifically the seven main diversity categroies gender, sexuality, generativity, age, race & religion, class & education, disability and the new diversity category body, beauty & weight, which has gained growing importance in the last years, will be discussed. The lecture aims in a critical discussion of the psychology of these differences and the distribution and variation of the above mentioned diversity categories.

Assessment and permitted materials

Written exam consisting of 7 open format questions (knowledge plus critical reflection; 2 points each) with 6 questions stemming from a list of questions which can be successively found on moodle and the 7th question concerning one of the mandadory texts

Grading Scale:
<=60%...Fail
>60%-<=70%...Sufficient
>70%-<=80%...Satisfactory
>80%-<=90%...Good
>90%...Very Good
