Aims, contents and method of the course
The course consists of two parts: 1.) Introduction to basic topics of general psychology and fundamental aspects of scientific work, such as reviewing literature, conducting studies, and communicating findings to others. 2.) Readings, presentations, and subsequent discussions of various empirical papers and selected chapters from the assigned course textbook.
Assessment and permitted materials
Evaluation is based on: active participation in discussions; presentation; and final exam.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Examination topics
Overview lectures by the instructor during the first part of the course, and group presentations and discussions during the second part of the course.
