Aims, contents and method of the course
ATTENTION: THE LECTURE STARTS NO EARLIER THAN 9. MARCH 2011!The lecture provides an overview of the most pertinent topics of cognitive psychology: memory, its functions and disorders; attention; perception; thinking and problem solving; reading; language; decision making. A brief introduction into the historical development of the area is given at the beginning of the course.
Assessment and permitted materials
Written exams at the end of the lecture.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Knowledge acquisition concerning the - methods of applied cognitive psychology; - research results of applied cognitive psychology; history of the domain; and - applications of cognitive psychology.
Examination topics
Lecture; self reading (of text book); written exams.
