Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
This seminar focusses on the broad theme of bonding during the development. In particular, we will focus on topics like parent-child attachment and attachment to a partner, love, friendship, the effect of social contact on emotion regulation, and so on. Students will have the opportunity of suggesting topics of interest, if they fit with the main theme of the seminar. We will read and discuss recent literature concerning the aforementioned topics. We will focus mostly on empirical research in psychology and social affective neuroscience. The goal of the seminar is not only to acquire specific knowledge on these themes, but also to develop critical thinking and discussion skills.
