Aims, contents and method of the course

Students will acquire basic knowledge on
- models and approaches of workplace analysis and psychological stress
- teams in organizations and team development
- organizations, conflicts, organizational analysis, organizational development
- new world of work

Alternating lecture and practical sessions
- Lecture sessions: Lecture, discussions
- Practical sessions: Readings, individual work, group work, consultation hours

Assessment and permitted materials

- Development of a research question for a work, team or organizational analysis, presentation of the research plan and the method/instrument of analysis (group work)
- Summary of a chapter on good interview questions, Patton, 2002 (individual work)
- Development of an interview guideline and reflection on the interview situation (group work)
- Written report of the analysis (group work)
- Reflection of the analysis (individual work)

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Minimum requirements:
- One time absence of lecture sessions allowed.
- Students must have completed all group tasks (see below) to receive a positive grade.

Assessment criteria:
- Development of the research question for the analysis, description of the research plan and the method (group work) - 20%.
- Summary of a chapter on good interview questions (individual work) - 10%.
- Development of an interview guideline and reflection on the interview situation (group work) - 20%.
- Written report of the analysis (group work) - 40%.
- Reflection of the analysis (individual work) - 10%.

Examination topics

There will be no exam.
