Aims, contents and method of the course

Transfer of knowledge and application of knowledge about
- models and approaches of job analysis and psychological stressors
- teams in organizations and team development
- organizations, organizational diagnosis, and organizational development
- changes in the world of work

Alternate lecture and practice sessions:
- Lecture sessions: Lectures, discussions
- Practice sessions: Readings, individual and group work, discussions, feedback sessions, presentations

Assessment and permitted materials

A total of four tasks are to be completed. Of those three are to be completed in a group and one individually.
1. Preparation of a research question for a job, team, or organizational analysis, including a description of the research plan and the method/instrument of analysis (group work)
2. Reading and working on a chapter about crafting effective interview questions (individual work)
3. Developing an interview guide and reflecting on a simulated interview situation (group work)
4. Written report and presentation of the analysis (group work)

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Minimum requirements:
- There is no mandatory attendance for the lecture sessions. However, participation is strongly recommended.
- Students are allowed to miss 1 practice session.
- To pass this course, students must have completed all group assignments.

Assessment criteria:
- Development of the research question for the analysis, description of the research plan, and method (group work) - 10%
- Working on a chapter about crafting effective interview questions (individual work) - 10%
- Developing an interview guide and reflecting on the simulated interview situation (group work) - 20%
- Conducting and providing a written report of the analysis (group work) - 60%

Examination topics

There will be no exam.
