Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The combination of attending a Journal Club and a series of Colloquia. The Journal Club involves reading and joint commenting on relevant papers and book chapters in the history of the Cognitive Sciences. The Colloquia provides the opportunity to engage with current research in the domain of General, Cognitive and Biological Psychology, as presented by renowned researchers today.

Schedule for the Journal Club part:

6 Sessions: March 19, April 16 & 23, May 7 & 28, June 11.
From 09.45-11.15 in HS E at Liebigasse 5 building

Schedule for the Colloquia part:

Every Thursday of the semester (except for bank holidays etc.) from 17:00-18:15 in HS G at Liebigasse 5 building

Assessment and permitted materials

Assessment is based on participation and contributions to the discussion in class

To foster critical thinking when reading or listening to contributions to the Cognitive Sciences

Examination topics

Presenting and commenting on mandatory readings, and attending a series of Colloquia.
