Aims, contents and method of the course

The main topics covered by the course relate to: social cognitive neuroscience, empathy, emotions, disorders of social cognition such as autism and alexithymia Expose of the research project, plus presentations during the course.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The course is intended to provide the knowledge to do scientific work. In particular the following themes will be covered:
1) how to prepare a revision of the literature
2) how to formulate a research question
3) how to answer the research question with scientific methods
4) how to formulate hypotheses, and describe the expected results

Examination topics

Students have to actively participate by constructing and presenting during the seminar a research project (state of the art, research questions, hypotheses, methods).
