Aims, contents and method of the course

The aim is to get to know and apply basic techniques of interviewing through a combination of theoretical and practical exercises.
Theoretical and practical examination of
- basics of communication and psychological conversation management,
- selected communication models
- behavioral observation
- case vignettes
- Self-reflection, the role of the psychologist
- Initial discussion of one's own professional role and ethical principles
- Practical examples from everyday work as a clinical psychologist (with a focus on psychosomatics)
The course is interactive with theoretical lectures, videos, practical exercises, discussions in large and small groups, role plays,...

Assessment and permitted materials

Face-to-face or online sessions, through active participation and contribution during the lessons.
Diligence and quality of the completion of the assigned homework will be checked.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

x Attendance (online with webcam and audio) and active participation in the course
x elaboration of learning packages between units (exercises and reflections)
x independent group work
