Aims, contents and method of the course

Learn to read and understand scientific papers on diverse socio-affective psychological phenomena and their biological basis:
1. Learn how research papers are structured
2. Learn to critically read a research paper and extract its “main message”
3. Learn to summarize and reflect on papers and to integrate different perspectives on the same topic (in oral presentations, short written essays, and discussions)
4. Practice in developing new research questions motivated by existing literature

Assessment and permitted materials

1. Oral presentations
2. Short essays
3. Active participation in group discussions
