Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
In this seminar, we will focus on self-control (e.g., the ability to inhibit immediate urges to attain future goals) and its stability over time. To do so, we will conduct a meta-research project and map the development of self-control over time.Further, we will explore the relationship of self-control with other measures of interest (health, economics, social media, etc.) over time. Here, students can actively shape their topic of research. In the first semester of this TEWA, we will focus on theory and developing your ideas, writing skills, and basics in meta-research.The second semester (TEWA 2) in fall 2025 will then focus on skills in data analysis, testing your research ideas, and finalizing your group's report.
