Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

This VU is intended to make it easier for students to get started at TEWA and later to write a master's thesis in the field of motivational psychology, as they acquire a basic understanding of the theoretical concepts, questions and methods of motivational psychology.

Topics of the event include conditions and processes of self-control, effort mobilization and goal striving, effects of implicit theories on behavior and experience in the context of education and environmentally relevant behavior, the meaning of identity and its consequences for members of stigmatized social groups.

The contents are presented and discussed on the basis of lectures, developed and further developed in independent reading and group work.

Students should learn to develop their own questions and outline possible research designs against the background of current research.
