Aims, contents and method of the course
Assessment and permitted materials
Assessment is based on 1) the group presentation in which the students (in small groups of 4/5 based on the final number of students) will present a research article on one of the topics covered by the course, 2) the written exam including three open questions on the course topics, 3) the active participation in class and during journal clubs, guest lectures, and Q&A following the group presentations.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Final grade composition:
15% active participation in class and during Q&A/journal clubs
45% group presentation
40% written examAttendance must be superior to 2/3s of the classes.

- Neural basis of prosocial behaviour: evidence from neuroimaging and brain stimulation research
- Neurochemistry of prosocial behaviour: evidence from psychopharmacological research
- Psychopathology and prosocial behaviour: evidence from clinical psychology/neuroscienceWithin the course, frontal and interactive lectures will be alternated with journal club activities (reading and discussion of research articles) and students presentations. In some of the classes, researchers working on prosocial behavior will give guest lectures.
