Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The course is divided into two parts.

Part A will involve the introduction to and theoretical discussion of topics such as literature search, scientific writing and reading, and methodology.

Part B will involve student presentations and discussions of scientific papers.

Assessment and permitted materials

Presentation, active participation, exams

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

To provide insight into the key aspects of scientific psychological work such as experimental methodology and scientific writing.
2.) To integrate theoretical content (part A) into the presentations.
3.) To understand the main elements of a scientific manuscript and to present them appropriately and critically discuss the findings (part B).

- Theoretical introduction by lecturer (Part A)

- Whole-class discussions following the student presentations (Part B)

- Participation in experiments
