Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The lecture deals with different approaches and central concepts of political science presenting assumptions about society, politics and science as well as driving forces of social and political developments, actors and structures. The aim of the lecture is to provide an overview of the subject of political science and insights into research processes specific to the discipline. In addition to the introduction to various approaches within the discipline and to central concepts, the lecture will provide space for examples from research practice in the form of research reports ("Forschungswerkstattberichte"). The lecture will also address (exam-relevant) basic texts, which should be read in preparation for the respective lecture units as well as in preparation for the exam. The lecture will be held partly in German and partly in English.
