Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

First we will take a look at the process of liberalisation and market integration in the European electricty sector since the early 1990s. We then will apply selected methods of qualitative research, such as interviews and text analysis, in order to examine (1) the role of Austrian actors in the European decision-making process that led to the adoption of the third electricity package in 2009 and (2) the impact of this legislation on the electricity market structure in Austria.
