Aims, contents and method of the course

Diese Vorlesung bietet den Studierenden einen Einstieg in die Institutionen, Akteure, Prozesse und Outputs des politischen Systems Österreichs sowie der Europäischen Union. Folgende Themen werden behandelt:

- Verfassung & Regierungssystem
- Bundesregierung & Bundespräsident
- Parlament & Gesetzgebung
- Gerichtsbarkeit
- Parteien & Parteiensystem
- Wahlen & Wahlverhalten
- Sozialpartnerschaft & Sozialstaat
- Politik in Ländern und Gemeinden
- Direkte Demokratie & Protest
- Europäische Union: Institutionen & Akteure
- Europäisierung nationaler Politik

Assessment and permitted materials

Für die schriftliche Klausur wird Anfang Juni ein Katalog von 100 Fragen aufgelegt (beantwortbar auf Basis der angegebenen Literatur und der VO-Inhalte). Aus diesen Fragen werden 50 per Zufall für die Klausur ausgewählt. Etwa 20 von den 100 Fragen werden nicht in der VO behandelt, sondern in einem eigenen Tutorium diskutiert (man kann die Antworten aber auch anhand der Literatur ausarbeiten). Termine für das Tutorium werden im Laufe des Semesters bekanntgegeben.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

88-100 Punkte: Sehr gut (1)
75-87 Punkte: Gut (2)
62-74 Punkte: Befriedigend (3)
50-61 Punkte: Genügend (4)
0-49 Punkte: Nicht genügend (5)
