Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Against the background of restructuring the national state in terms of shifting public responsabilities and of increasing social inequalities, the urban level gains more importance. This opens up new areas of conflict which will be analyzed with the theoretical framework of conflict theories and strategies.

Assessment and permitted materials

Compulsory attendance, case study presentation, final paper

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Based on their own case studies, the students will learn how to use conflict theories for analyzing social movements in the city.
