Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

This reading course introduces into the political science field of geopolitics with special reference to the Anglo-Saxon "Critical Geopolitics" discourse. In addition to studying the classical key texts the focus of the course lies on selected topics of the critical approach of geopolitics since the end of the Cold War: new world order politics, feminist geopolitics, anti-geopolitics, environmental geopolitics, etc.
The course is a supplement to the lecture "Internationale Politik".

Assessment and permitted materials

Participation in course discussions, oral group presentation, essay (min. 2500 words) - due four weeks after the last class session (July 28).
