Regieren im EU-Mehrebenensystem mit besonderer Berücksichtigung der institutionellen und instrumentellen Interaktion sowohl auf EU- als auch auf mitgliedstaatlicher Ebene. Demokratiepolitische Implikationen europäischen Regierens

Assigned readings, group and plenary debates, written assignments, group presentation & final paper.

Please sign up for this course via univis before the start of the semester; this is mandatory! It is not possible to sign up afterwards. Only students who are regularly registered via univis can participate in the course. It is mandatory to attend the first unit on 8 October 2014. Students who miss the first unit will loose their place in the course and can be replaced by students from the waiting list.

If you decide not to take the course, please deregister by 1 November 2014. If you stop attending the course and do not deregister, you will receive a failing grade.

Attendance for this course is mandatory and will be taken at every class meeting (unit). University regulations allow for up to two unexcused absences during the semester. A medical note is required for any further absence. Accruing more than two absences without a medical note will negatively affect the final mark. Absence due to job or work-related reasons will not be accepted. Students who miss more than six units (regardless of reason) will fail the course.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Neben der inhaltlichen AUseinandersetzung mit den gewählten Themenbereichen, wird besonderer Wert auf die eigenständige Erarbeitung eines Seminarthemas gelegt. Dafür soll während des Semesters ein Expose vorgelegt werden, das auch besprochen und ggf überarbeitet wird.
