Aims, contents and method of the course

This course will give an introductory overview about current debates in peacebuilding, in particular all concepts related to the 'local turn', such as hybridity, political settlements, and the post-liberal peace.
The evolvement of these concepts is debated against the background of a critique of liberal peacebuilding, applications of the approaches will be explored in simulations.

Assessment and permitted materials

one written short essay, about blog lenghts (1,000 words)
one oral presentation (most probably group presentation)
course preparations
