Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Terroristischen Attentate (auf die Redaktion von Charlie Hebdo Jänner sowie auf die Besucher in einer Musikhalle und Restaurants im November 2015 in Paris) aber auch die Migrationskrise im Herbst 2015 haben die Herausforderung der Europäischen Union (EU) im Bereich der inneren Sicherheit und gleichzeitig ihre Verschränkung mit der äußeren Sicherheit deutlich gemacht. Die weiterhin nicht gelöste Ukraine-Krise ist bringt Probleme für die EU-Außenbeziehungen.Im Seminar sollen sowohl die Analyse des Raums der Freiheit, der Sicherheit und des Rechts sowie der Gemeinsame Außen- und Sicherheitspolitik und die Verbindung dieser beiden EU-Politikbereiche bearbeitet werden.
Assessment and permitted materials
The Seminar language is German, but presentations can be done also in English.Attendance for this course is mandatory and will be taken at every class meeting (unit). Students are required to attend all units. University regulations allow for up to two unexcused absences during the semester. A medical note is required for any further absence. Absence due to job or work-related reasons will not be accepted. Accruing more than two absences without a medical note will negatively affect the final mark. Students who miss more than five units (regardless of reason) will fail the course.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Neben der Erarbeitung des Themas an Hand der vorhandenen Literatur muss auch eigenständig Information gesammelt werden. Die Studenten und Studentinnen haben (einzeln oder in Gruppen) über ein von ihnen in Absprache mit dem LV-Leiter gewähltes Thema ein Referat zu halten, eine diesbezügliche Arbeit abzugeben und sich an der Diskussion zu beteiligen.
