Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Die Lehrveranstaltung beleuchtet die soziale Bedeutungskonstruktion von Gender durch mediale Repräsentationen und diskutiert diese anhand von empirischen Ergebnissen und Praxisbeispielen. Dabei gilt es insbesondere den Kontext der Trias von Medien – Geschlecht- Bedeutungskonstruktion zu verstehen. Medien werden als Kanäle und Schnittstellen sozialer Bedeutungskonstruktion erklärt und mit Ansätzen zu Gender und genderbasierter Gewalt kontextualisiert.
Assessment and permitted materials
Evaluierung wird anhand von inhaltlicher Mitarbeit, Zusammenfassungen / Exzerpten und zugehörige Diskussion, sowie einer schriftl. Abschlußarbeit durchgeführt.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Die Studierenden erfahren eine umfassende Darstellung der Forschungslandschaft zum Thema geschlechtsbasierter Beziehungsgewalt in den Medien, sowie Konzepte zur Fassung der sich darin manifestierenden diskursiv erzeugten Geschlechterkonstruktionen und dispositiven Machtarrangements.
