Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

In the seminar we deal with gender relations in the post-socialist societies of Southern and Eastern Europe. With the help of concepts from post-colonial and post-socialist debates, the discussion about current, social and political processes in the post-socialist area will be expanded to include a gender-critical perspective. In doing so, we look at connections with democratization processes, nationalisms, shifts in the balance of power and neo-liberal transformations. In particular, the following seems interesting: in post-socialist societies, the contradiction between progressive forces (for example: women's movement in Poland, LGBTIQ movement in Slovenia, workers fighting in Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina) and anti-pluralist forces, such as the strong right, can be observed.

Anforderungen

Teilleistung I: 6 Textaufgaben (30 %)
Textaufgaben (Zusammenfassungen, Essays, Fragen zum Text) zu den Basistexten, die jede Woche zu lesen sind.

Teilleistung II: Mitarbeit / Stundenvorbereitung (30 %)
Sie bereiten in einem Zweier-Team eine Einheit von ca. 45 min. in Absprache mit den LV-Leiter_innen vor. Sie recherchieren eigenständig für die Einheit, bereiten Materialien vor, Entscheiden sich für eine didaktische Methode und Leiten die Einheit zu einem Thema. Das Konzept für die Einheit muss eine Woche vorher abgegeben werden.

Seminararbeit (40 %)
Sie verfassen zu einem passenden, eigenständig gewählten Thema, eine wissenschaftliche Seminararbeit. Bewertet wird wissenschaftliche Qualität bzw. Form und Inhaltliche Relevanz.
