On successful completion of this module students should be able to:
- Identify interesting research questions in a sub-field of political science.
- Identify and conduct an original piece of research (Bachelor thesis), which demonstrates students analytical and research skills in the field of political science.
- Prepare, summarize and present theoretical and empirical findings.
- Critically evaluate the research of others.

Ziel des Kurses ist die Befähigung der Studierenden zum wissenschaftlichen Arbeiten und insbesondere zur Erstellung einer Bachelorarbeit.

The final paper should be between 20-30 pages long. The deadline for the paper is March 31, 2017 (11 am). Any special arrangements need to be discussed in advance with the instructor.2) 1 Oral presentations (= 30% of final mark)

Every student presentation is evaluated by the other students, using a special evaluation form.
