Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The EU multi-level governance system is shaped by a plurality of institutions and actors, policy-modes. This class provides a theoretically informed assessment of these interactions at EU level, its policy outcome and the subsequent implementation in the member states. In addition, we will also discuss the democratic implication of the EU governance system. We will discuss particularly the case of the EU's border, migration and asylum policy.

The course follows a hybrid format. While the first part of the course will take place in a digital format, the final 3-4 sessions (depending on the number of students) will be offered as an in-person format. However, those students who are not able to attent, it is possible to present their proposal virtually via BBB.
