Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

In this course, students will develop a research concept and a research question for their MA thesis and present these in the seminar. These will be discussed in the sessions with the students and the course instructor. In addition to the ongoing work on the MA thesis, techniques of scientific work are discussed in the seminar.

Assessment and permitted materials

- Presentation of the (draft) research concept (first presentation; 20%)
- Presentation of the revised, final research concept (second presentation; 40%)
- Collaboration including feedback for colleagues (40%)

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

- Development of a research concept on your own research question
- Presentation of the research concept
- Ongoing incorporation of comments from colleagues and the course leader
- Development of an outline of the thesis
- In person attendance is mandatory
