Die Lehrformate für das WS (digital, hybrid, vor Ort) befinden sich in Entwicklung. Die Lehrenden werden die geplante Organisationsform und Lehrmethodik auf ufind und Moodle bekannt geben. Aufgrund von Covid19 muss mit kurzfristigen Änderungen in Richtung digitaler Lehre gerechnet werden.

Nicht-prüfungsimmanente (n-pi) Lehrveranstaltung. Eine Anmeldung über u:space ist erforderlich. Mit der Anmeldung werden Sie automatisch für die entsprechende Moodle-Plattform freigeschaltet. Vorlesungen unterliegen keinen Zugangsbeschränkungen.

VO-Prüfungstermine erfordern eine gesonderte Anmeldung.
Mit der Teilnahme an der Lehrveranstaltung verpflichten Sie sich zur Einhaltung der Standards guter wissenschaftlicher Praxis. Schummelversuche und erschlichene Prüfungsleistungen führen zur Nichtbewertung der Lehrveranstaltung (Eintragung eines 'X' im Sammelzeugnis).

    Information

    Aims, contents and method of the course

    UPDATE (17 Sept): this course will take place in digital format.
    there will be NO on-site teaching in this course. However, we will meet at the scheduled day/time via BBB (Moodle).
    It is the main objective of this course to provide non political science students with a comprehensive overview of the EU's institutional archtecture, its relevant policy-making modes and its democratic legitimcy (or lack thereof).

    Assessment and permitted materials

    UPDATE (17 Sept): there will be NO on-site teaching in this course. However, we will meet at the scheduled day/time via BBB (Moodle). This change of format also requires a change of the assignments. To pass the course you have to (1) write 7 brief reviews and pass a (2) midterm and (3) final exam. Further little assigments (group discussions; preparation of minutes etc) may be announced during the course.

    Besides regular attendance and reading of the basic material, the students are expected to write 7 brief reviews, make a short presentation and participate in a final test.

    NOTE: If the teaching mode has to switch from on site to digital learning, it may also lead to changes regarding the required assignments & test

    Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

    Students have to pass all assignments (i.e. reviews, presentation and test) to pass the course

    Examination topics

    Information about the required reading (i.e. book chapters or journal articles) will be given in the first session.

    Reading list

    For each session students have to read one (or two) text(s) and to be prepared to discuss them. Nearly all of these texts will be made available via Moodle. Further details will be given in the first session.
