Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
This seminar provides students with an overview of the EU's regulatory policies such as economic and environmental policy. It gives insights in EU policy-making dynamics and deals with some of the Union's most current and important questions. A special emphasis is placed on the field of Justice and Home Affairs. The EU has come to play an increasingly important role in issues such as immigration, crime, and policing. What kind of actor can the EU be in this sensitive field of internal security and justice?
Assessment and permitted materials
Regular attendance, reading of seminar literature, a short presentation on a current topic; and a brief final exam;
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Examination topics
Introduction into subject given by the lecturer; in consequence, interactive discussion of key themes and challenges;
