Aims, contents and method of the course

The master's seminar is designed to support the successful writing of the master's thesis.

It is divided into three main tasks:
First, in the study of basic texts for writing a master thesis (finding the research question, methods, research design, writing styles, etc.).
Second, presentation of the students' master's theses
Thirdly, final presentations will be "trained" in the master's seminar - i.e. presentations of master's theses that are about to be completed in order to gain experience with the defensio situation and to give feedback.

Assessment and permitted materials

- Presentation of the MA-thesis (concept, chapters) : 15 min.
- Handout or Powerpoint to bring to the seminar
- A written commentary (1-2 pages) on the presentation of another participant

Positive evaluation in all three dimensions:
Presentation: 60%
Commentary: 20%
Participation in the seminar: 20%

The literature will be available in the Moodle folder at the beginning of the seminar. The syllabus will be handed out in the preliminary meeting.
