Aims, contents and method of the course

Das Seminar widmet sich einem Politikfeld im Kontext der Migrationskontrolle: Abschiebungen von Nicht-StaatsbürgerInnen. In der Literatur werden gleichermaßen "deportation turn" wie "deportation gap" als gegenwärtige Phänomene konstatiert. Es handelt sich um ein Politikfeld, das nationalstaatliche Akteure gestalten, und in dem gleichzeitig internationale/europäische Bestimmungen von Bedeutung sind. Das Seminar behandelt die Entwicklung von Abschiebungen als ein Instrument der Migrationskontrolle, die Verantwortlichkeit für Abschiebungen sowie die verschiedenen staatlichen und nicht-staatlichen involvierten Akteure, Institutionen und "Orte". Abschiebungen führen auch zu Widerstand - warum und wie?

Assessment and permitted materials

Students need to register via univis during the registration phase at the start of the semester! Subsequently, registration is NO LONGER possible.

Students MUST attend the first session of the course. If students are absent without prior notice and reasons, their places will be given to students from the waiting list.
