Aims, contents and method of the course

Im Rahmen der Lehrveranstaltung werden Grundkenntnisse des Onlinejournalismus vermittelt. Neben den klassischen Formen der Onlineberichterstattung sollen neue Entwicklungen berücksichtigt werden - etwa Datenjournalismus, Umgang mit Twitter und Co. Im Zuge einer Exkursion soll zudem "Hinter die Kulissen" einer Onlineredaktion geblickt werden.

Aims, contents and method of the course

Die TeilnehmerInnen bekommen im Rahmen dieser Übung einen Überblick verschiedener multimedia Anwendungen. Nach einer kompakten theoretischen Einführung in verschiedene Themenbereiche wird jeweils in der zweiten Übungshälfte praktisch daran gearbeitet.

Folgende Themenbereiche werden angeboten:

- Technische Grundlagen / Anwendungsgrundlagen für online / multimedia RedakteurInnen
- Online Recherche
- Copyright/Copyleft - Open Source vs. proprietärer Software
- Gimp vs. Photoshop in der multimedia Anwendung
- Umgang mit ContentManagementSystemen Beispiel Drupal (http://drupal.org)
- Konzeptentwicklung einer Website
- Usability / Accessibility
- Social Media für multimedia RedakteurInnen (Twitter, Facebook, ...)
- Journalismus Theorie (Redaktion, Darstellungsformen, Themenwahl, Aufbau eines Beitrages)
- Erstellung von journalistischen Multimedia-Beiträgen in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Verein https://www.facebook.com/Option2.0
