Aims, contents and method of the course
Im Rahmen der Lehrveranstaltung werden Grundkenntnisse des Onlinejournalismus vermittelt. Neben den klassischen Formen der Onlineberichterstattung sollen neue Entwicklungen berücksichtigt werden - etwa Datenjournalismus, Umgang Twitter und Co. Aims, contents and method of the course
Einblicke in die Welt des Mulitmediajournalismus, Online-Recherche, Redaktionelle Arbeiten, Open-Source-Systeme. Spezielle die Möglichkeiten eines Content-Management-Systems werden ausführlich behandelt. Dazu zählen Handfertigkeiten im grafischer (Bildbearbeitung, Theming,...) und multimedialen Bereich. Es werden grundlegende technische Aspekte vorgestellt (responsive Design, social networks, SEO, Usability und
Accessibility) um diese dann auch in der Praxis anwenden zu können. Ein weiterer Schwerpunkt wird dem Bereich Internetrecherche und Quellenkritik gewidmet.

Kennenlernen des Berufsbildes Multimedia-Journalist/in und der grundlegenden journalistischen Arbeitstechniken in diesem Bereich am Beispiel der MultiMedia-Redaktion der APA - Austria Presse Agentur.Inhalte: Nachrichtenbewertung und -auswahl, Meldungsformate, multimediales Storytelling, Foto- und Videojournalismus (inkl. Praxisworkshop), Konzeption interaktiver Grafiken (responsive Design), Redaktionstechnik (CMS), aktuelle Trends und Debatten im Multimedia-Journalismus (SEO, Content Marketing, Social Media, Paywalls, Fake News …)
