Aims, contents and method of the course
Inhalte der Vorlesung sind neben der Darstellung des österreichischenMediensystems u. a. internationale Vergleiche sowie Struktur-,Organisations- und Funktionsfragen. Problemorientierten Sichten wird dabeider Vorzug vor dem Streben nach inhaltlicher Komplettheit gegeben,Schwerpunkte werden v.a. medientheoretisch, -kundlich und -ökonomischgesetzt. Assessment and permitted materials
Attendance and active participation is required. Students will be asked to deliver a presentation on a related topic and complete assignments throughout the semester.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Students should acquire solid knowledge of the reasons behind media bias, the types in which it occurs as well as the consequences it entails. In a generation of "information overload" and times of global crises, a comprehensive and critical approach toward the media is imperative. Moreover, students will gain insight into media systems and learn how to properly research and interpret studies on the matter.

Pertinent literature will be provided on the first day of class and throughout the semester.

Aims, contents and method of the course
Im Fachtutorium soll untersucht werden, wie die Rezeption gezielter Marktkommunikation mit Methoden der Werbewirkungsforschung untersucht werden kann. Dazu werden Grundlagen, Theorien, Methoden, Probleme und Trends der Werbewirkungsforschung ebenso behandelt, wie Grundlagen der Marktkommunikation und des Marketings und hinsichtlich der Rezeption von derartigen Medieninhalten betrachtet. Ergänzend werden wichtige Grundlagenbegriffe und -konzepte der Mediengattungen, der Publikumsforschung, der Mediensystemforschung und der Medienfunktionen behandelt.
Assessment and permitted materials
Benotet werden das Referat, die schriftliche Arbeit, die Gruppenarbeiten in der Lehrveranstaltung, die Anwesenheitszeiten und die Mitarbeit.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Die Ziele der Lehrveranstaltung können grob in folgenden Punkten zusammengefasst werden: 1. Konzepte, Theorien und Methoden der Werbewirkungsforschung in Bezug auf gezielte Marktkommunikation und im Hinblick auf die Rezeption von Inhalten verstehen, kritisch reflektieren und anwenden lernen. 2. Das Umgehen mit, Interpretieren und kritische Reflektieren von Auswertungen quantitativer empirischer Methoden (Tabellen und Statistiken) lernen. 3. Praktische Faktoren und theoretische Begriffe und Konzepte zu Medien als Tools für die gezielte Marktkommunikation begreifen, hinsichtlich der Besonderheiten der Rezeptionsmuster.
Examination topics
Vorträge, Gruppenarbeiten, Einzelarbeiten, Diskussionen, Präsentationen durch die Studenten, Nutzung von Moodle als Lern- und Austauschplattform; Die Gesamtarbeitsleistung der Studenten soll 2 ECTS (= 50 volle Stunden Arbeit, inkl. Kurszeiten an der Universität) umfassen;
