Aims, contents and method of the course

Part 1: TV - functioning, Austrian tv market, audience measurement, channel positioning, tv distribution
Part 2: program planning, program genres, program production, program acquistion & distribution
Part 3: program development, tv format market, format dna, 2nd screen, storytelling
Part 4: organizational structure, rights clearing, cost structures, revenue streams, finale primetime challenge

Assessment and permitted materials

A continuous group project work will be perfomed in 4-5 groups. The group project will be evaluated based on 5 partial outcomes per group, concluding with the final challenge "Primetime Schnapsen" in the 4th part of the LV.
