Aims, contents and method of the course

Die Vorlesung dient der Einführung in zentrale Forschungs- und Anwendungsfelder der Soziologie (Sozialstruktur, Arbeit, Bildung, Sozialstaat, EU/Europa, Migration,...). Sie soll deutlich machen, was den "soziologischen Blick" auf gesellschaftliche Phänomene auszeichnet und wie sich das soziologische Arbeiten von demjenigen anderer Disziplinen unterscheidet. Des Weiteren werden wichtige Erkenntnisse und Forschungsbereiche aus ausgewählten "Bindestrich-Soziologien" vorgestellt.

Ziel der Vorlesung ist es, zentrale Fragestellungen und Erkenntnisse der Soziologie sowie ihre methodischen Zugänge anhand von ausgewählten soziologischen Forschungs- und
Anwendungsfeldern verständlich zu machen.

Written exam based with open and closed (MC) questions on the presentations and the scriptum
