Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Die Lehrveranstaltung verknüpft die Einführung in die Soziologie mit der Praxis wissenschaftlichen Arbeitens. Das Proseminar ergänzt die Einführungsvorlesungen und ermöglicht die aktive Anwendung zentraler soziologischer Grundkonzepte und Hauptfragestellungen in studentischen Arbeiten. Geschärft werden soll ein Blick auf die österreichische Gesellschaft und die Forschungs- und Anwendungsfelder der Soziologie.

Referat, schriftliche Übungsarbeiten, Prüfung
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Kenntnis zentraler Begriffe und basaler Konzepte der Soziologie; Verständnis und Erkennen relevanter soziologischer Fragestellungen; Einführung in die Sicht- und Denkweise der Soziologie; Reflexion über ausgewählte soziologische Forschungsfelder (spezielle Soziologien); Verständnis für Probleme der österreichischen Gesellschaft; korrekte Anwendung wissenschaftlicher Zitationsregeln, Befähigung zur themenspezifischen Informationsbeschaffung (Literaturrecherchen), Informationsselektion und -präsentation
Examination topics
Bearbeiten und Diskussion von Texten, Literaturrecherchen, mündliche Präsentationen, schriftliche Übungsarbeiten
